The Insectian Cocoon was a powerful weapon that was sewn by Arachnia in episode 27 of Fullmetal Alchemist: Reborn. Her intention was for her eldest daughter, Beautifly, to enter it and "shed the rest of her mortal beauty" so that she can complete her metamorphosis. Beautifly refused, and when Arachnia tried to force her transformation, she ran away.
