Trisha Elric is the common-law wife of Van Hohenheim and the mother of Edward and Alphonse Elric. She is a sweet, gentle woman who is loved dearly by her entire family, especially by Hohenheim, who despite having left them, was reluctant to do so. After Hohenheim left home, she often would stare out windows, as if hoping to see him walking home. Edward and Alphonse noticed this and would always try to cheer her up with their alchemy. In fact, Alphonse once said that their mother's happiness was part of the reason that they continued their research in alchemy, because it made her smile. However, they didn't realize that she smiled because it reminded her of Hohenheim and his own talents in alchemy. She was thought to be dead when the Elric house blew up due to a mysterious entity rigging the oven in the kitchen.
When transmutated into The Knight Of Alchemy through an Alchemtopian blood seal on the top of her left hand, Trisha has all the powers, abilities and weapons that The Knight Of Alchemy had.
